Aashiyana Indian Cuisine in Reading

They have mice & roaches in the kitchen, put the same food back on the buffet for several days, and treat the help very poorly. When a friend worked there they cheated her out of 6 days pay, after firing her for refusing to clean the toilets because she had a cut on her finger ( no gloves offered!), and she was hired to cook. Addendum: I have also been told. by a former employee that they were confiscating the tips when he worked there, which is surely against the law.

Eaten here multiple times, it's a couple blocks down the street.Frequently come here for the buffet on Friday.Clean, good service, nice decor. Wish they would have music playing sometimes, I always feel like I need to whisper when I'm there.Other than that, no complaints!

I agree all the below comments about Naan and the food arrives after 30 mins you order it. I love Indian food too. No body even cares if the food gets delayed . We had bad experience once , We ordered for a Naan and Biryani & Curry. Birayni came first and then the Naan arrivies after im half done eating birayni. I went thrice same thing happened 3rd time so i cancelled the Naan order. They got it after i cancelled it as if she was throwing on us and the young lady who served us was so rude "its because she made it she was expecting us to eat or take togo" Not even the starter comes soon. The dhum biryani will be like rice with curry . And any chicken curry what ever you order it will be like chicken with tomato sauce made gravy. So don't expect much from this restaurant. The food is kind of ok .. We dint have much choice as we came to this place on work for a week or so..

Not a great place for Indian food. I ordered for Naan and it was completely burnt and the server says it's normal as it has to go in oven.

This restaurant is great, clean, and the service is friendly. Many of my friends and most people I come across always have appreciated the quality of Aashiyana and its food. I always enjoy coming here for authentic and tasty Indian food!

Samosa was too oily and had no taste to it, no air condition,food was priced high, not good customer service, worst indian restaurant in the usa. Can't even eat over there again for free.

This is a little known place that usually only us Reading locals know about. I have been a customer since it was a few blocks away. The owners are always very gracious to me and my family and treat us like family! Food is amazing....just amazing...I have taken many people to this restuarant before that have never had indian and instantly they were in love. The food is spicy, flavorful, and bountiful! The buffet is a great way to experience a few of india's best dishes. I would recommend it to any Reading, Pa visitor. I even asked her to cater my wedding! So hopefully in a year or so that will happen. Go eat here you will love it!

Friendly, spacious, and clean. The food is authentic and delicious. The service was great, attentive and friendly. You get more food than you pay for. Good prices grate food. There spice's they use are not spicy but unique and delicious. My parents took me to as well as worked for resturant for all my life. Been to every restraunt around here as well as work for red lobster. This is hands down my favorite restaurant in the area. Makes red lobster look like mcdonalds. Bring a bottle of wine like me and my fiance there BYOB and enjoy there atmosphere and authentic indian cuzine like we did. Already reserved a spot for Valentine's day here!!

Great for take-out. The service is sub-par, but the food is really good: vegetarian dishes especially.

We had to wait 30 min. and we were the only people in the restaurant, but it was so worth the wait. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is excellent!

Chat was good but curry just had water. No taste.

The food was spectacular! We just ate Sunday lunch buffet. Very very pleased, that chicken in that sauce is awesome, [forgot what is called] i love the different spicy sauces n stuff,don't ask me what it's called tho, and those vegetable fried balls are yummy. I wish i lived out here to eat this food everyday

Slow service, things tasted frozen. I actually drive to Harrisburg now if I really want Indian so what does that tell you...
